Originally from Michigan, Leanna graduated from The University of Michigan with a bachelors in English Literature and has always been involved in the arts: theater, writing, photography and illustration. After college, she studied improv at The Second City, Chicago (along with Chris Farley and Tim Meadows) and acting at Circle In The Square, NYC. Locally, Leanna has worked at SoftRock 94.1, freelanced for Bella Magazine, coaches public speaking through her “Stand Up To Speak” seminars (recently for The American Society of Training and Development and Pensacola Young Professionals) and is a die hard Gulf Breeze Toastmaster. In 2011-12, she emceed The Comedy Zone at Lillo’s Tuscan Grille – with positive reviews from The Pensacola News Journal. Her latest humorous novel, The Daily Janet, is coming out Fall 2016 (Astor + Blue) based on her lively southern bell Mother, Janet. She also illustrates children’s books, enjoys the beach and loves living in Pensacola.
